Biography

  • Ganesh Balasubramanian serves as an assistant professor in the Operations and Decisions Sciences Area at the T A Pai Management Institute in Manipal, India. His research focuses on analyzing the strategic interactions between manufacturers and retailers within decentralized supply chains, with applications in inventory management, pricing strategies, and product distribution. Ganesh also holds a visiting researcher position at the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management, University of Luxembourg.

    In 2022, Ganesh was honored with the Emerging Economies Doctoral Student Award for the Asia Pacific region by the Production and Operations Management Society, USA. His teaching portfolio encompasses subjects such as Game Theory, Research Methods, and Business Statistics. 

    Prior to joining TAPMI, Ganesh earned his Ph.D. in Production and Quantitative Methods from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He pursued his MBA at the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras, graduating in 2013. Ganesh brings over four years of professional experience from renowned organizations like Cognizant and Amazon to his academic pursuits.
