Introduction:-

Indian oil has declared this year as their year of trust in alignment with their mission statement. The pipeline division of Indian oil (Southern regional pipelines Ltd- SRPL) wanted a workshop on trust to be conducted by TAPMI.

The theme of the training was a “trust” and this theme was interpreted as “Self-trust”, “Organizational trust” and “Stakeholder trust”. The participants were a mix of managers and engineers. Most of the participants were in-charge of technical aspects and interacting with external vendors. For the participants, the sessions were apt for their work situation.

In line with the theme, all sessions on day 1 and the forenoon session on day 2 focused on Self-trust and Organizational trust. The final session dealt with external stakeholder trust.

The faculty members, Prof. Senthil Ganesh, Prof. Happy Paul and Prof. Vinod Madhavan led the participants using a mix of Discussions (Context Setting), Personal Assessment by using psychometric assessment tools (The Journey of Self-Discovery), Games (Building Enduring Relationships through Enabling Team Environment), Case analysis (Promoting Team Work: Understanding the Dynamics of Intra and Inter-functional Conflict).
