In line with our commitment to a student-led yet academically rigorous model, the peer review process at TJEF is conducted in two key stages:

  1. Initial Review by Student Editorial Board
All submissions first undergo a blind review by the Student Editors of the TJEF Board. This initial screening evaluates the relevance to the theme, originality of thought, clarity of writing, and alignment with the journal’s scope. The student editorial team ensures that only the most compelling and well-structured manuscripts move forward.
  2. Secondary Review by Academic Faculty Editorial Board
Shortlisted articles from the initial stage are then reviewed by the Academic Faculty Editorial Board, comprising faculty members with expertise in economics, finance, and related disciplines. The faculty board conducts a deeper evaluation of the paper’s academic rigour, methodology, theoretical contribution, and practical relevance.

This collaborative two-tiered review structure enables TJEF to balance academic excellence with student initiative, fostering a unique and enriching publication process.

Submission

Each edition of TJEF is theme-based, with themes being announced and regularly updated on the Unstop platform in the months of June and December. All submissions must be made exclusively through Unstop in response to the official call for papers published there.
