The TAPMI Journal of Economics and Finance (TJEF) was envisioned as the brainchild of Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (MAHE, Bengaluru Campus) and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Management, Law, Humanities and Social Sciences), with the aim of establishing an accessible and engaging space for students to explore, articulate, and publish their ideas in economics and finance.
TJEF is committed to fostering academic curiosity and encouraging high-quality, peer-reviewed research that bridges theoretical understanding with real-world relevance. The journal serves as a platform where students, faculty, and industry experts converge to discuss contemporary challenges and evolving trends within the financial and economic landscape.
Scope
Published biannually, TJEF invites original contributions spanning a wide range of themes in economics and finance. Topics of interest in economics include macroeconomic and microeconomic policy, development economics, behavioural research, and the role of emerging markets in a changing global environment.

The TAPMI Journal of Economics and Finance (TJEF) follows a double-blind peer review process designed to maintain academic integrity, objectivity, and quality in every published article.
In line with our commitment to a student-led yet academically rigorous model, the peer review process at TJEF is conducted in two key stages:
This collaborative two-tiered review structure enables TJEF to balance academic excellence with student initiative, fostering a unique and enriching publication process.
Submission
Each edition of TJEF is theme-based, with themes being announced and regularly updated on the Unstop platform in the months of June and December. All submissions must be made exclusively through Unstop in response to the official call for papers published there.
