People are both excited and apprehensive about Artificial Intelligence (AI) in product management. The focus is not on replacing Product Managers (PMs) but on transforming their roles. AI can handle data-heavy, repetitive tasks such as analysis, forecasting, bug detection and planning, freeing PMs to concentrate on higher-value activities. These include setting vision, ensuring ethical practices, aligning teams, solving ambiguous problems, and collaborating with AI agents. In the future, those who embrace AI are likely to outperform their peers.
