About Us
A management student undergoes various transformations inculcating crucial learnings at different instances. In this 32nd edition of Atharva, we shall be testing the business acumens developed by these students during their respective learning times. The participants will be exposed to the scorching flames of the events designed specifically to the give them a feel of the intricacies of the real business world. Each participant will have to burn in the fire and emerge not just as a winner, but also as a leader ready to take up the dares of today’s challenging world.

Management Events
Young Business Leader
Young Business Leader, Atharva’s flagship event is a one of a kind event incorporating all business domains under one umbrella. The participants are faced with boardroom simulation challenges during the three days event with the judges questioning their executive decisions. The event is aimed at finding the best business leaders who would one day take strategic decisions for their companies.
A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. YBL will put the contestants in an intense test of leadership. We are looking for individuals who can break through shells and achieve all the glory they deserve.
Format
- The competition is only open to PGDM / MBA students.
- Any number of students can participate from an institute.
- No entrant can be part of more than one team.
- All participants are required to carry a valid college/institution photo ID to the venue without which participation is not allowed.
- The organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the event, format, date, rules and any matter related to the event, at any time before or during the event.
- Top 10 individuals from the Prelims are invited for the on-campus rounds.
- The decision of the organizing committee and the panel of judges regarding evaluation is final and binding.
Ace The Case (ATC)
ATC, The Case Study Competition is an integrated platform for all future leaders to propose an effective strategy for the real-life business problems faced by companies. This is an opportunity to test your skills through a gruelling quiz round challenging you across all the facets of a Business! Participants will be evaluated on analytical thinking, communication and the ability to defend their own point of view with logic and proper justification.
Format
- The competition is open to all PGDM / MBA students.
- A team should comprise of two members only.
- Two members from the same institute can only make a team.
- A primary contact person (Team Leader) for each team must be identified.
- One student cannot be a part of more than one team.
- No change in team structure is allowed after the registration.
- All participants are required to carry a valid college/institution photo ID to the venue without which participation is not allowed.
- The organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the event, format, date, rules and any matter related to the event, at any time before or during the event.
- Top 10 teams from Prelim Rounds are invited for the on-campus rounds that consist of a maximum of 2 teams from an institute.
- The decision of the panel of judges and the organizing committee regarding evaluation is final and binding.
J.A.R.V.I.S
J.A.R.V.I.S- The analytics event of Atharva aims to test the analytical skills in the participants. It focusses on data-driven decision making in which participants are tested on various fields such as predictive, descriptive and visual analytics. They get to work on real-life scenarios, work with live website data and debate on pressing global challenges.

- Students can participate in a team of 2 members only.

Sankalp
Sankalp, TAPMI’s business plan formulation contest stands true to its name by testing the determination and creativity of those who dream of threading the challenging path of entrepreneurship. TAPMI was the second management institute to initiate a B-Plan contest and Sankalp has grown from strength since then.
Sankalp is designed to give the enthusiasts a platform to present the feasibility of their entrepreneurial dreams. It’s one of the most celebrated competitions of TAPMI.
Format
Teams will be shortlisted based on the executive summary submitted by them, followed by Mentorship by Mentorship Partners.
Final Pitch in front of Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors, and Judges.
Virtual negotiation with the investors about the terms of the equity capital investment.
- Must not be longer than 3 pages (excluding cover page).
- Font size: 12, Font type: Times New Roman, Line spacing: 1.5.
- Must be submitted in PDF format.
- Preferably the following information must be included in the summary: Business Description, Industry Analysis, Customer analysis, Competitive Analysis, Management Team. The teams can provide additional information to the same provided the content is within 3 pages.
- All the teams should adhere to the format specified.
- No change in team structure is allowed after the registration.
- The decision of the panel of judges regarding evaluation will be final and binding.
- In case of any conflict, the decision of the organizing committee will be final.

NEXUS
ATHARVA is launching a brand new event in its 32nd edition named NEXUS which is a networking platform for the students to interact with the leaders of big organizations. This also sets the stage for campus interaction of CXOs where they get to know the new perspectives and bubbling ideas of the young aspiring leaders. The event comprises of a panel discussion of the business stalwarts where the latest topics which are relevant to their industry, as well as those, that have a strong effect on India’s economy are to be discussed. NEXUS 2019 has a very broad guest list comprising of the leaders who have expertise in different domains and are from different industries. This is one such event that can provide the MBA graduates with a platform to closely interact with corporate leaders and understand the competency they have attained throughout their career.
Cultural Event
Xpressions
Xpressions, the cultural arm of Atharva is a three-day event pulsating with infectious energy and enthusiasm. Xpressions Nights are full of fun and fiesta providing a stage to showcase one’s talent not only for a TAPMIAN but also other participants from various top institutes. Events under the Xpressions umbrella include that of Y.T.B.N., VIBES and DJ NIGHT
Day 1: KHOJ: Khoj is one of the biggest buzz events of Atharva It has 3 rounds and participants are eliminated at each round.

Run For A Cause
Run for a Cause is a CSR Initiative taken up by Atharva. It is a marathon of 4.8 km, open to the city of Manipal and Udupi. The run is dedicated to the cause of making a difference in the lives of children from Academy Primary School, Manipal, a government-run school which provides education to more than 100 boys and girls. This school has been well known for providing quality education with their limited resources to the underprivileged sections of the society.
This year the funds raised through the marathon will be channelled towards the improvement of sanitation facilities and infrastructure of the school. The idea is to give these students a fit and healthy life.
