Dr. Sandhiya is an Assistant Professor in the Operations & Decision Sciences Area  at the T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (University Gold Medal) from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai and a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli. Her doctoral dissertation contributes to the growth of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure by addressing multi-stakeholder decision-making, competitive dynamics, and policy analysis. She worked for Vedanta Limited, Sesa Goa Iron Ore and co-founded Travus Technologies Private Ltd., gaining 5 years of industry experience before joining the Ph.D. programme.

Her research lies at the intersection of sustainable transportation, operations strategy, and infrastructure optimisation. She is equally passionate about teaching. She has taught Quantitative Methods course and assisted courses in Operations Research, Operations Management, and Decision Analytics. Trained in advanced pedagogical methods at IIM Bangalore and Harvard Business Publishing, she brings an application-oriented and student-centred approach to the classroom.
