(Dr.) S. Navaneetha Krishnan (Retd.) is an Ex Naval officer, Author, Trainer, and Consultant with industrial work experience of more than 25 years before joining academics and a distinguished alumnus of three different IITs in India.
Having been a Technical officer in the Indian Navy for 21 years he was associated with designing and constructing warships and submarines. He had undertaken collaborative engineering works and facilitated technology transfer from internationally reputed design organizations in Russia, Italy, and France.He had also served in Ms. Larsen & Toubro (L&T), for more than 6 years, where he was associated with project management of defence ship design and building. He was also part of the team that conceptualized and implemented the ERP for business process integration.

 

Krishnan had also served as a consultant for a multinational company headquartered in UAE to revive some of their entrepreneurial ventures. His experience and expertise also enabled him to be an excellent corporate trainer, conducting training and workshops for Indian PSUs and MNCs in the area of Innovation, Design Thinking, and Productivity enhancement techniques.

Krishnan completed his Ph.D. from IIT Madras in Integrative Management and researched the topic of Survival strategies of Innovative Start-ups, his Masters (M. Tech) in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and his Diploma in Naval Construction from IIT Delhi. He did his B. Tech in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding from Cochin University of Science and Technology.

Krishnan had been a research fellow with one of the think tanks of the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. His research work culminated in the Authoring of a book titled “Prosperous Nation building through Shipbuilding”, which indicated strategies and policies that need to be adopted by various stakeholders. He has researched and published papers ranked by ABDC/ABS.
