With over 35 years of academic experience, Professor Nandan Prabhu specializes in research areas, including perfectionism, workplace spirituality, mindfulness, leadership, team effectiveness, and organizational politics. His scholarly contributions encompass 42 research papers published in peer-reviewed academic journals indexed in SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCE, and ABDC Master list. These publications appear in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Consumer Marketing, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of Service Theory and Practice, Research in International Business and Finance, International Journal of Organizational Analysis, and Evidence-based HRM Journal. Prof. Prabhu's work is featured in 20 ABDC-listed journals and 26 papers in journals listed in the social sciences citation index and emerging sources citation index of WEB OF SCIENCE. Additionally, 34 of his papers have been published in the Q1 and Q2 Journals of SCOPUS. Overall, he has over 60 research papers. His research has garnered recognition, earning two best paper awards at conferences in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Kanchipuram.
Prof. Prabhu serves as a reviewer for numerous research journals, including the Journal of Business Research, Career Development International, Evidence-based H.R.M. Journal, FIIB Business Review, Frontiers of Psychology, Mindfulness, Journal of Organizational Change Management, Social Responsibility Journal, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Applied Economics Letters, Cogent Economics and Finance, Cogent Business and Management, Journal of Applied Research in Higher education, and the Global Journal of Flexible Systems and Manufacturing.
His professional activities extend to management consultancy projects for Yenepoya University and conducting management development programs for the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, New Delhi and Manipal Technologies Limited, Manipal.
From 1997 to 2009, Prof. Prabhu edited three monthly non-academic journals in Kannada and a weekly English journal on spirituality. He was on the editorial board for a half-yearly English journal focusing on spirituality and society from 1998 to 2012. Between 2009 and 2012, he edited a quarterly English journal on spirituality and served on the editorial board of a Kannada journal. His editorial work also includes translating and editing books between Kannada and English.
Prof. Prabhu has conducted numerous faculty development programs to enhance research quality and publication in peer-reviewed journals. He has provided doctoral research guidance to over 25 researchers, including a T A Pai Research fellow at TAPMI. His active participation in research conferences includes presenting and leading research discussions.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Prof. Prabhu has travelled extensively across Karnataka, the USA., Singapore, and the Sultanate of Oman for spiritual endeavors, sharing insights from Indian spiritual personalities on various topics.
