Assistant Professor in the Accounting, Economics and Finance Area at TAPMI. I hold a PhD in Economics area from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, with the thesis titled “Climate Change, Migration and Wellbeing of Farm Households in India: An Empirical Analysis”. With a strong foundation in Applied Microeconometrics, I specialize in analysing the intersection of climate shocks, migration decisions and household resilience. My work delves into how households adapt to environmental stressors, the role of social and political networks in migration decisions, and the broader socioeconomic implications of climate-induced mobility. Before pursuing the doctoral studies, I completed MPhil in Applied Economics from the Department of Econometrics, University of Madras; MA in Applied Economics from Central University of Pondicherry and BA in Economics from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai.
