Guest Lecture Session by Mr Tojo Jose, Executive Vice President HR at Blue Star Limited on ‘The need for HR’.
Students and Faculty members of T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal, witnessed a conference on ‘Managerial Excellence through Indian Ethos’ at the Institute campus on Feb 8, 2013.
The conference had eminent speakers from various fields spanning Management Education, Governance, Manufacturing Sector, etc. The conference began in an auspicious note with a prayer followed by an address by the Director of the institute, Dr. R. C. Natarajan. He shed light on the values of Indian ethos. Following him was Dr.H.Vinod Bhat, Pro Vice Chancellor of Manipal University who glorified the Indian heritage and gave his views on how we should implement the same in our day to day lives.
The next speaker was Mr. R. Seshasayee, Executive Vice Chairman of Ashok Leyland Ltd and also the Chairman of IndusInd Bank Limited. He spoke on how the Indian Values have evolved over generations and it is currently perceived by the Indian youth. He stressed the importance of imbibing the Indian ethos in our lives. Mr. Suresh, Director- Finance, AICTE delivered a special guest lecture on Indian Management.
