"Dr. Pratibha Kumari is an Assistant Professor in the area of Finance & Accounting at T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Bengaluru. She earned her Ph.D. in Finance and Accounting from the Indian Institute of Management Raipur, where her doctoral thesis examined the impact of regulatory interventions on dividend distribution policy.
Her research interests include regulatory interventions in capital markets, corporate governance, corporate disclosure. She has published in internationally recognized journals such as Economics Letters (ABDC-A), Applied Economics (ABDC-A), and the International Journal of Disclosure and Governance (ABDC-B). Alongside academic publications, she regularly contributes opinion pieces to business dailies like Livemint, reflecting her commitment to bridging research and practice. Dr. Kumari has presented her work at leading conferences, including the PAN IIM World Management Conference, the International Capital Market Conference organized by NISM, and the International Conference on Business and Finance. Her ongoing research focuses on the effect of disclosure-based regulation on corporate investment behavior and shareholder value creation. She has received several honors, including the Research Excellence Award at TAPMI and the Best Doctoral Paper Award at the AIMS International Conference on Management (2023).
