Abhijeet Tewary is a faculty member in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Bengaluru. His academic journey spans engineering, renewable energy, and management, shaping his interest in interdisciplinary research across operations, sustainability, organizational studies, and emerging management domains. He has recently submitted his doctoral thesis at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad, where he pursued the Fellow Program in Management (FPM) in Operations Management.
His research primarily focuses on advocating strong sustainability by theorizing regenerative supply chains. In particular, he examines how supply chains can move beyond harm reduction and efficiency-led sustainability toward restorative, place-based, and nature-positive organizing. Alongside this core interest, he remains engaged with a broader set of management themes, which reflects his commitment to crossing disciplinary boundaries and contributing to wider scholarly conversations. His work has been published in journals such as The TQM Journal, Digital Policy, Regulation and Governance, International Journal of Information Management Data Insights, and Evidence-based HRM: A Global Forum for Empirical Scholarship.
Abhijeet has also presented his research at several national and international conferences, including EurOMA, EGOS, POMS, RBRC, and SOM, with a particularly strong presence in conversations around regenerative supply chains, resilience, and sustainability transitions. His teaching interests include Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Total Quality Management, and Lean Six Sigma. Professionally, he also holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from KPMG, reflecting his parallel interest in process excellence and applied problem solving.
Through his teaching, research, and academic engagement, Abhijeet aims to build scholarship that is rigorous in method, relevant in practice, and meaningful in its contribution to both organizations and the broader social-ecological systems in which they operate.
