A futuristic new age cutting edge program that combines business management concepts with AI and Data Science methodologies and techniques to prepare prospective students for the future challenges and help them gain better professional positions and excel in the corporate world. The program merges advanced technical skill sets with strategic business acumen and knowledge. Prepares the incoming students to lead and manage AI-driven digital transformations in IT or non-IT firms. This is not a Master’s degree program in Technology or M.S. in AI and Data Science, but an MBA degree program that is deeply thought through and one of its kind being offered in India.

Holistic and Cutting-Edge Curriculum

This two-year MBA in AI and Data Science is not just another business degree but a comprehensive learning journey that empowers students with the tools, techniques, and strategic insights to lead in the AI-powered business world. The program features a unique, multi-dimensional curriculum, offering a deep dive into Business Management essentials such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Strategy, International Business, Information Technology, and Supply Chain & Operations while also equipping students with the in-depth expertise in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Business Analytics, and Data Science.

Since inception, the program will emphasize on both Business and Technology. Students are introduced to Core Business Management principles, which will lay the strong foundation for more enhanced AI and DS concepts later in the program. The curriculum focuses on developing and deploying AI and Machine Learning models. It gives students clear practical skills to create and commercialize solutions, bridging the gap between technology and real-world business applications.

Project Based Learning

Students will engage in projects that simulate real-world industry scenarios throughout their journey. The fifth and sixth terms will be dedicated to summer internships across various industry verticals, allowing students to apply their knowledge in different business environments and contexts. These internships provide invaluable first-hand experience, helping students understand how AI and DS transform businesses globally. Moreover, third and fourth terms will be dedicated to research-based projects for students who want to go in Market Research, or Financial Research roles.

Applied learning is at the heart of this program. Students will work multiple tools such as Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Databases, and many more to work on business use cases and technology-driven challenges. Using platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform, the program ensures that students are well-versed in the latest technologies driving AI and DS innovation. Focus will also be on learning multiple functional domains and how to take data-driven business decisions across the verticals. Several laboratories will be made available to the students via MSIS and TAPMI. These labs will host multiple high end hardware and enterprise grade cutting-edge software tools.

Enhanced Industry Interface

The program’s structure ensures that students are constantly engaged with industry professionals. Students immerse themselves in industry-driven projects in the fifth and sixth terms, working on functional and operational challenges leading organizations and startups face. Additionally, students participate in innovative research projects guided by top professors and industry leaders, further deepening their expertise.

TAPMI’s and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)’s close ties with Microsoft will bring AI and DS business solutions into the classroom, giving students exclusive access to industry-leading technologies and frameworks. In terms five and six, students will immerse themselves in industry with live functional or cross-functional projects, further enhancing their industry readiness.

As part of the program, students will have the chance to attend industry-academia conclaves to interact directly with senior management from various sectors. These events allow students to network with professionals and gain insights into the evolving landscape of AI and DS. TAPMI also encourages students to participate as volunteers at various in-house or outside International Research Conferences, offering them a global perspectives on the latest developments in this cutting-edge domain. Students will work on enterprise grade datasets and not fictious or toy datasets. There will be multiple Business Management Domain-Enhancement seminars at Manipal campus. Moreover, TAPMI Manipal will be home to a Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science driving innovation and growth.

MAHE - History and Legacy

 

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), established in 1953 by Shri T M A Pai, is a private deemed university in Karnataka, India. It started with India’s first private medical school, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), and expanded in 1957 with the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT). Initially, degrees were awarded by Karnataka University, then by the University of Mysore and Mangalore University. In 1993, the University Grants Commission (UGC) granted MAHE deemed university status.
