Santushti Gupta is a Ph.D. Candidate in the field of Finance and Accounting, currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. Her doctoral research, titled “Essays on the Risk and Reward of ESG Information,” explores the intricate implications of ESG regulations and voluntary disclosures on financial markets. Her academic journey is distinguished by her qualifications as a Company Secretary and her success in the National Eligibility Test and Junior Research Fellowship.

Santushti’s research interests lie in non-financial disclosures, with a specific focus on ESG information disclosure regulations and their impact on financial performance. Her work has been published in notable journals such as the Asian Review of Accounting and Global Knowledge Memory and Communication.

She has presented her research at prestigious conferences, including the IMR Doctoral conference at IIM Bangalore, Multinational Finance Conference at University of Vaasa Finland, India Finance Conference at IIM Calcutta, and Fourth Annual International Capital Markets, organized by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) along with the Systemic Risk Centre (SRC) at the London School of Economics (LSE). Santushti has also served as an Assistant Professor at NIT Bhopal and as a Company secretary for a total of 3+ years.
