QUALIFICATIONS, PAY SCALES AND IMPORTANT BENEFITS FOR FACULTY IN TAPMI

For Faculty Associates.

  • MBAs with 3-5 years of teaching experience in B Schools of repute.
  • Candidates should have registered / be planning to register for Ph D.
  • Should have a flair for teaching.

For Professors / Associate Professors / Assistant Professors.

  • Ph D required. 
  • Besides, candidates with PG in Management, having industry / corporate experience at senior positions may also apply.

IMPORTANT ALLOWANCES AND BENIFITS

Dearness Allowance. - At present it is 30 % of Basic Pay and Grade Pay. It is revised every year in April. 

Leave Travel Assistance. - Every year for travel to home town and once in two years to any location in India by economy class in air or by I AC for Professors and by 2AC for others, as per service rules of the Institute. 

Relocation Allowance. - 50 % of gross pay (Basic + DA), subject to a maximum of Rs 30000. 

Professional Development Fund. - Rs 75000 per annum.

LEAVE

Casual Leave. - 12 days per annum.

Earned Leave. - 15 days per annum. 

Vacation. - 30 days per annum. 

Sabbatical Leave. - Once in a block period of seven years continuous service - for one year with full emoluments.

Study Leave. - For six months on completion of four years continuous service.

MEDICARE ETC

Medicare. - All faculty members are eligible for the Medicare scheme operated by Manipal University. The coverage is for the employee as well as family members consisting of spouse and unmarried / unemployed children, in the Special class at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. 

Domiciliary Medical Expenses. - All employees are eligible for reimbursement of domiciliary medical expenses to the extent of Rs 500/- per month. 

All other benefits and norms are as per service rules of the Institute.
