Narayanan is a Critical Marketing scholar with a background in Philosophy, Consumption Studies, and Communication. His doctoral dissertation, 'On the Consumption of Critique in a Post-Marketing World', confronts the question of what happens to critique (and, consequently, to ethics) when it is rendered consumable through processes of aestheticization and commodification. His research interests lie at the crossroads of Theoretical Pyschoanalysis, Political Economy, and Marketing/Consumption Studies.
