PGDM-HR Course Structure
The PGDM-HR has six trimesters spread over two years of the Program. During the first year, all students study courses related to Behavioural Discipline (Individual, Team and Leadership Competencies), HRM Discipline (Functional and Strategic HR Competencies) and Institutional Discipline (Employee Relations and Industrial Relations Competencies) and courses from other disciplines like Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Operation Management.
Students would take up an internship at the end of third trimester. During the second year, advanced courses in HRM and few general management courses are offered. Students would appear for the SHRM-CP certification during the 5th trimester.
Association with SHRM India
TAPMI has partnered with Strategic Human Resource Management India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Society for Human Resource Management (see www.SHRM.org) to align the course curriculum of PGDM HR. TAPMI in collaboration with SHRM India will train all students to take the SHRM Certified Professionals (SHRM CP) Global Certification, the most coveted HR certification for HR professionals. Of course, each student is responsible for meeting the criteria of SHRM including passing the certification examination.
By partnering with SHRM India, TAPMI will gain access to a plethora of knowledge to ensure that the PGDM – HR students are given contemporary knowledge that will help them to be relevant, excel and create an impact. SHRM CP certification will be a key differentiator for TAPMI students.
