Year of retirement: 2021

Latest Administrative posts held in in TAPMI: Dean of TAPMI for 9 years (2008- 2013 and 2016-2020). As Dean, led TAPMI in its accreditation and re-accreditation of AACSB (the most prestigious international accreditation)

Subjects/Courses taught in TAPMI: Marketing management, Consumer Behavior, Brand management, Advertising, Services Marketing (introduced this course first time in the country) , and  Blue Ocean Strategy (introduced this course first time in the country)

Programme introduction: Conceptualized, Initiated, and instrumental in starting the health care management programme in TAPMI in 2010.

Taught abroad: Taught a semester at Oakland University, Michigan, US.

Pedagogy expertise: Case method of teaching (underwent orientation at Harvard Business School, Boston)

Collaborations executed: Instrumental in collaborating and signing an academic student and faculty exchange programme for 2 years with Asian Institute of management, Manila and Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok (Both very prestigious Asian b-schools)

Work with students: Was the Visualizer of the concept and the Faculty Convenor for 25 years for Brand Scan – a student- industry market research collaboration event.

Research guidance: Successfully guided 5 PhD scholars under Manipal University.  Still Guiding 3 more PhD scholars now.

Examiner: Examiner for PhD in 2 Central universities.

Publications: Several Publications of papers and cases. Coauthored book chapters. He is also the reviewer of articles for the prestigious American Marketing Association (AMA)

Book Published: Book on Case method titled “Cases on Brand management and Services Marketing” 

Compendiums published: 2 compendiums (containing 15 best industry research outputs with groups of students) and One compendium containing research papers of “Services Process and technology.” 

Conferences: Attended several national and international conferences. Organized conferences in TAPMI.

Training programs: Conducted several Executive training programmes (EEP) for companies like Ashok Leland, BPL, Infosys, ICICI, Corporation bank, Syndicate bank, MCF, ISRO, SAIL, Oracle, Jindl Steels, Piaggio, etc.

Faculty Development Programme: Was one of the 5 national Coordinators of the Quality Improvement programme (QIP) by AICTE, organized through TAPMI for 7 years (1995-2002) 

Awards: Was selected as the Best Marketing Professor in India in the Academic Leadership Education Summit, in Mumbai in 2013.
