Biography

Prof. Durga Prasad M is an Associate Professor in the area of Finance and Strategy. He has an overall experience of 21 years in teaching. He holds Masters in Commerce. He obtained his doctorate in the area of Corporate Finance. His research interests are in the area of Corporate Finance, Debt-Restructuring and Financial Statement Analysis. He conducts various training programs for executives and academicians.
He is the recipient of Jonathan Welch best case in finance award at the North American Case Research Association (NACRA) conference in the year 2014 at Austin, USA. This is a prestigious award given to the outstanding case in accounting, finance or economics. His case titled “Wockhardt Limited: Will it Rise from the Ashes?” has been ranked among the top 10 cases in the ISB-Ivey Global Case Competition 2016. His cases published in IVEY, The Case Journal, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies (EEMCS).
His case titled “An Investment Dilemma” published in EEMCS. The case titled “Restructuring at Suzlon Energy Ltd” published with the Case Journal – Emerald Publishing Group. One of his case titled “Kingfisher Airlines Ltd Debt Restructuring” published with IVEY case publishing house.
