Objective:

  • The forum was proposed with an academic perspective while inducing industrial exposure in the field of operations.
  • Improve visibility of the Operations wing of TAPMI across the industry.
  • Monitor and mentor smaller scale projects of an operational nature.

About Us:

Operations forum was formed in March 2009 after a need was felt by faculty, students and alumni to fill the long absence of a forum dedicated for Operations Management at TAPMI. The forum was proposed with an academic perspective while inducing industrial exposure in the field of operations thus representing the needs of the student community across segments. The forum has outgrown its own set of objectives through its achievements in its short span of operation. The forum currently publishes articles with the college Magazine “Pratibimb”, came up with first of its kind newsletter the “Snapshot Metrics” and hosts a group in Google, dedicated for interaction between the alumni, the faculty and the students.

Highlights include industry interactions involving industry experts. In line with the same, catering to the rising needs of the batch, interactions have been in place to hold a Six Sigma Certification within TAPMI and avenues for courses like CPIM, CSCP etc across the year.

Events We Organise:

The forum held a host of activities like Sanchay, which in association with Atharva reached out to an inter-college platform and also Operations quiz with Espirit.

  • Sanchay: Sanchay an agri-supply chain game is one of its kinds which help gain deeper insights to the various concepts dealt within the curriculum, thus attracting huge responses within TAPMI and across institutes participating for Atharva.
  • Operations Quiz: We also teamed up Espirit- The TAPMI Quiz club, in association with Dare2Compete.com, to open up a national platform for quizzing within the Operations zone.
