The HR Forum provides a platform to the students interested in Human Resource Management to work together in inculcating the spirit of leadership, team-bonding and competitiveness among all students at the school, by organizing events in TAPMI
The flagship event of the forum is ‘DISHA’. This is a two day conclave held in September for both PGP-I and PGP-II students. This is the panel discussion held by the industry guests and the faculty members especially the HR faculty of TAPMI. The discussion would be based on pre decided topic. The topic for DISHA 2012 was “Leveraging Technology to build effective human capital”.
Mock press where the students are presented with an ethical dilemma asked to defend the management. The teams were selected based on the analysis of caselets. The selected teams were given a scenario and were asked to debate on it.
This is an event for paper presentation .Teams shortlisted were asked to give presentations.
Apart from DISHA, HR Forum in association with the team Atharva, organized the inter B- School competition called ‘Young Business Leader’ (YBL) with a prize money tag of Rs 1 lakh.
YBL as it is fondly called is a test for the best candidates from the best schools of their business acumen and ability to be a quality and well-rounded leader in every field of management. From creativity to plain analytics, from strenuous physical conditions to the strongest of mental pressures the participants are put through various daunting tasks to test their ability of being leaders of young India.
The forum endeavors to develop in the students an appreciation of the people orientation and its growing importance in today’s dynamic business scenario. It also puts in dedicated efforts towards supplementing the domain knowledge in HRM with current industry practices and their integration and application across various industries.
With the vision of adding value, both to the students and the industry the committee continues its journey.
