Overview

Human Resource as a domain has moved from a traditionally administrative function to a strategic one that recognizes the link between talented, engaged people and organizational success.  This was the backdrop against which the Human Resource Forum was founded among the functional committees at TAPMI.

The HR Forum provides a platform to the students interested in Human Resource Management to work together in inculcating the spirit of leadership, team-bonding and competitiveness among all students at the school, by organizing events at both intra-TAPMI and inter-B-school levels.  The forum endeavors to develop in the students an appreciation of the people orientation and its growing importance in today’s dynamic business scenario.  It also puts in dedicated efforts towards supplementing the domain knowledge in HRM with current industry practices and their integration and application across various industries. The flagship event of the forum is ‘DISHA’. This is a two day conclave scheduled to be held in September for both PGP-I and PGP-II. It is the point of convergence for senior professionals from diverse industries, and the faculty members, researchers and students from various prestigious B-schools.

In association with the team Atharva the forum organizes the inter B- School competition called ‘Young Business Leader’ with a prize money tag of Rs. 1 lakh.  It also organizes guest lectures by eminent guests in the HR field for the students. It also sources HR projects from the industry for students. Apart from this, it organizes games and competitions for students in Episode (the induction of the PGP-I batch) and otherwise.

With the vision of adding value, both to the students and the industry the committee continues its journey.
