Mr. Eldrich Vincent Rangel and Mr. Sharan Viswanath secured First Position in Pracchana 2012, an inter collegiate quiz competition hosted by the Department of Management Studies, Dayanand Sagar College, Bangalore. They won a trophy, certificates and a cash prize of Rs. 5000.

Mr. Sidharth Panigrahi’s  article titled “Can India catch up with China?” has won the January Edition of Article Writing Competition conducted by Dare2Compete.com.

Mr. Ameet Kabad and Mr. Ankit Prakash stood first in the Business Quiz Competition at Kurukshetra 2012 − The Annual Management Fest of Manipal Institute of Management. They won a cash prize of Rs 10000, a trophy and certificates.

Mr. Amit Kumar Nahata, Mr. Anup Dhanuka and Mr. Shivaram Kulkarni secured the 1st position at the Equitology - Global Equity Research Challenge at Great Lakes, Chennai.
In Equitology, a team had to select one of the emerging economies (Thailand, Malaysia, Poland & Egypt) and submit an equity research report for the company residing in that country. After three intense rounds on Equity Research Quiz, Equity Research Report and Presentation on the subject company, our students were declared winners and were awarded Merit Certificates and a Cash Prize of Rs. 35,000.

Five of our 2nd year students have been awarded the Sir Ratan Tata Trust scholarship for the year 2011-2012. The names of the students are –

Dr. Jagmeet Kaur (HCM-II) won the 1st position in Campus2Corporate Contest 2011 at the State Level. She secured the highest marks amongst candidates from other states like Tamil Nadu and Orissa. The competition was intense and comprised 3 rounds focusing on (a) Corporate Employability; (b) Communication and Presentation; and (c) Attitude and Behaviour.

Mr. Amit Kumar Nahata, Mr. Ankit Prakash, Mr. Anshul Aggarwal, Mr. Vikas Khanna and Mr. Shivaram Kulkarni represented TAPMI at the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2011-12.

Mr Shaurya Sharma’s paper titled "Understanding the preference of Indian internet users towards communication channels at pre, during and post purchase stages and its implications for e tailing websites" has been accepted as a conference paper in the 7th SIMSR Asia Marketing Conference to be held in 6-7 January, 2012.

Mr. Neel Jadav won the 1st prize in the poster making category at a poster and video making competition on Tourism of India hosted by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management - Bangalore in September 2011. Neel’s poster was on Gujarat Tourism.

Mr. Ashish Dabral, Mr. Raj Kumar & Mr. Ritesh Kumar have won the first prize in Excellence Business Idea Competition 2011 conducted by Tejogami and Excellence Group.

Apoorva Gupta of PGP2 won a Consolation Prize worth 10,000/- from a business plan competition, Provenance 2011 on 4th Nov, 2011 that was organized by Manipal University Technology Business Incubator (MUTBI), in association with Manipal University and TAPMI.

Mr. Milan Singla and Mr. Renjith Krishnan have won First Prize for their paper on “PPP Model for Medical Tourism in India”  in the event titled El Vigor, conducted by V G SOM, IIT Kharagpur on 29th October 2011.

They outshined institutions like IIM-L, IIM-S, XLRI, NITIE, IIFT-Kolkata. The awards included a prize money of Rs. 12,000 and certificates.

Mr. Sourav Chakravarthi and Mr. Raspal Singh of PGP-1 have won the first prize in the national level MBA event – BLUEPRINT.They were awarded with a Certificate and cash prize of Rs. 5000/-.

Their topic was 'FDI opportunities in India, post recession.' (BLUEPRINT - A research paper presentation at NIT Suratkal, invited full papers, both conceptual as well as empirical/case study, from students.

Mr. Nirmit Jain (PGP-2) secured the first position in the Fast Forward event conducted IIM B for their fest “Vista”. The event was regarding forex trading on FXCM platform. He has been awarded a free forex training module sponsored by FXCM in their Hong Kong office, a cash prize of Rs.15000/- and a certificate.

Mr. Jitin Sam Phillip and Ms. Preetha S emerged as Runners-Up outshining more than 60 teams in the Finals of South India Inter B Schools Debate Competition held at Madras School of Social Work, Chennai on 1st October 2011.
They won a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-, certificates and a trophy.   

Krishna Chaitanya of PGP 2 won first prize in PaGulGuY.com  photo contest 2011.

Shaurya Sharma, Sourabh Rai and Gagan Saraswat were the winners of the prestigious Carbon Score Contest conducted by Cognizant Technologies in Chennai.

The cash prize was a whopping Rs. 25,000 (Twenty Five Thousand Only).

An Essay titled "Is nuclear power the answer to ending India’s energy deficit?" by Anup Robins has been one of the winning essays from the INDIA Future of Change Essay-Writing Contest 2010-11.

This was   evaluated by Financial Times, the knowledge partner for the contest.

TAPMI won second prize in Almanac, a poster making competition, organized by NITIE, Mumbai. 

In the event held at NITIE, Mumbai, Budding managers had to unleash their creativity and bring out the hidden talent of poster making in them by creating an iconic poster that embodies the spirit environmental responsibility. The Theme for the competition was “Energy Conservation : First step towards a better tomorrow”

Two students Mr. Gautam Prasad and Mr. Krishna Chaitanya of PGP-2 participated under their Team Name : Green Revolutions. There was a cash prize of Rs.1000/-  for the second prize.

Mr. Ankit Prakash, Mr. Anshul Agarwal, Mr. Subramaniam Gopalkrishnan and Mr. Vikas Khanna of PGP2 have successfully cleared CFA Level-1 examination in their first attempt.

Mr. Dinakaran Balasubramanian and Ms. Mythreyi Ranganathan were the Winners of Maria Philip Inter B-School Debate Competition, held on October 16,2010 at XIME, Bangalore.
