The EPGP-EG programme includes an internship for 20 weeks with an organization actively engaged in e-Governance domain. The internship was expected to enable participants to work on live projects and explore future career prospects. The participants were required to submit a preliminary and a final internship report followed by presentation to a panel.
The candidates from both Government and Private sector were shortlisted based on their profiles. The stipend offered to the candidates ranged from Rs.15,000 - Rs.30,000 per month.
Several Govt. sector candidates were selected for internships with private sector companies like Wipro, E&Y, IBM, KPMG, etc. This gave them an exposure to the private sector. All the private sector candidates were selected for internship with the above mentioned organizations and NISG. Every internship recruiter showed equal interest in selecting candidates from both sectors (Govt. & Pvt.).

While placement internship support is provided by the institute, it may be noted that every participant has to earn his/her internship/placement through proactive involvement.
