PROGRAMMES eGPX Overview
TAPMI-NISG: A unique academic program on e-Governance
The National e-Governance Plan is a bold step that aims to place India among the top nations in providing online services to citizens. The Government envisages a significant role for the private sector [consulting and IT organizations] in taking forward the various Mission Mode Projects that comprise the NeGP. The key challenge, however, is an acute shortage of professionals - both in the public and private sectors - who can conceptualise, develop, implement and maintain MMPs.
Supported by the Department of Information Technology, Government of India and industry stalwarts, the eGPX Program at TAPMI aims to bridge the existing gap in the availability of skilled professionals in the e-Governance space. eGPX has been conceptualised to help the government and private sectors develop eGovernment competencies within their structures. It provides an exciting career opportunity to managers and professionals to be a part of the national initiative. The Program has a good mix of theory, hands-on experience and interactions with experts from Government, Industry and Academics.
The eGPX Program has been designed to produce e-Governance professionals who will fill the capacity gap in the e-Governance space, both in the government and private sectors.
