TAPMI launched its
eGovernance Program for Executives (eGPX) in collaboration with the
National Institute for Smart Government [NISG], Hyderabad, on the 6th
of April 2009, with 31 participants from government and corporate
sectors. The inaugural function was presided over by senior leaders
from corporate world and academia, including Dr. Subash Bhatnagar of IIM
Ahmedabad, Dr. H S Ballal, Pro Chancellor of Manipal University, Dr.
Saji Gopinath, Director of TAPMI and Prof. Harish Iyer, the coordinator
of the eGPX program.
Participants in this
program hail from across the country, and are largely sponsored
candidates. The sponsoring state governments include those of Kerala,
Karnataka, Meghalaya, Mizoram, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Madhya
Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. About a third of the class also consists of
