Dr. Sulagna Mukherjee has been selected for the AIMS International Outstanding Young Woman Management Researcher Award for her exceptional research credentials.

Prof R.C. Natarajan has been inducted as a Member in the Board of Management Studies of Siva Sivani Institute of Management, Secunderabad.

Prof. S R Vishwanath has been included in Marquis Who’s Who in the World. This is one of the best known academic distinctions in the world. Other academics included in Marquis Who’s Who from India include Prof Amartya Sen and Prof Satya Das of Indian Statistical Institute.

Prof. S R Vishwanath case on Satyam Computer Services has been selected for the Final round after two round of Review at the NACRA conference and has been nominated for the NACRA-CMA Best Governance case Award.

Prof. Sulagna Mukherjee holds a Ph.D degree in the area of Corporate Finance from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The title of her thesis is "Corporate Capital Structure in India: Trends, Issues and Determinants".

Prof. Sabuj Kumar Mandal successfully defended his doctoral thesis titled “Energy and Productivity Growth: A Study of Indian Cement Industry” on Year 2010 at Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore through University of Mysore.

September 2010: Prof. Sabuj Kumar Mandal was invited to be a reviewer of the academic journal, Energy Policy, published by Elsevier Science.

Sep, 2009: Prof. Chowdari Prasad’s paper titled “Financial Inclusion in India – Yet another Ritual or An Integrated Tool for Poverty Alleviation?”, co-authored with Dr B Yerram Raju, Director, PRMIA, Hyderabad, and presented at the International Conference held in December 2008 by Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte, was published in the July 2009 issue of Nitte Management Review.   Prof. Chowdari Prasad was also invited to be on the Editorial Board of the “Advances in Management” Journal.

Aug, 2009:  Prof. Gururaj Kidiyoor successfully defended his doctoral thesis titled “Perceived Risk in the adoption of high technology product innovations in business buying,” on August 27, 2009 at Manipal University.  Dr. Kidiyoor has been teaching at TAPMI for over 10 years. Prior to joining TAPMI, he worked in TVS Electronics, Wipro, and Digital Equipment in the areas of marketing, sales and distribution. His academic interests include Business to Business Marketing, Personal Selling, Sales Negotiations, Marketing of High-Tech Products.

Prof. ( Dr.) Vasudev Rao, our Director received the national award for “Best teacher in management for South India” at the B-schools award function on August 10 at Le –Meridian, Bangalore. Based on his credentials and background he was selected by a group of industry leaders who acknowledged his contributions to the industry and academics. Prof. Vasudev Rao, as we all know, is widely acknowledged as an expert in Entrepreneurship and Project management areas. The award was instituted by the Deccan Herald group. 

Contribution to Management Case Studies:


"About 150 cases and other teaching materials from TAPMI have been registered with the European Case Clearing House (ECCH). These materials are outputs of MIP based on the collaborative effort of the students, faculty guide and the industry guide. Recent information from ECCH shows that these materials have been accessed widely for use by faculty in business schools."
