A Case-Study presentation competition, judged by the panel of invited industry representatives

Format:

The participants are required to take up the case of any organization which has taken major initiatives to design or redesign itself within the last 5 years. They have to analyze these initiatives in the light of the capabilities of the organization and more importantly the impact which these initiatives will have in the long term. In short they will have to dwell upon the following:

  • Will these initiatives achieve the desired goals which have been set by the top management?
  • Does the organization have the necessary capabilities and resources to implement these initiatives?
  • Changes or course corrections recommended, if any.

Examples of such initiatives might include:

  • A radical change in the composition of the workforce through a changed recruitment policy.
  • A major change in the organizational structure.
  • Initiatives to change the organizational culture or its major aspects.
  • The choice of such initiatives can be over and above the examples stated.
  • The participants are expected to send in a short abstract giving their approach and conclusions of their study followed by a complete paper.

Rules:

  • Participation in teams of three.
  • The participants must submit an abstract of not more than 350 words.
  • The format for the abstract and the paper will be Times New Roman, Size 12, line spacing 1.5.
