BrandScan 2011 was a huge success in terms of the events conducted and the footfall they brought. A total of 6000 visitors came to witness some of the most exciting events. Events were customized keeping in mind the Target Group required by this year’s projects.
Mr. Biker – The most popular event of BrandScan is Mr. Biker. Throttling of engines, revving of accelerators and screeching of brakes make Mr. Biker the most exciting event of BrandScan. Bike enthusiasts perform stunts and showcase their talents to take away the most coveted title of Mr. Biker. Prizes worth Rs.25000 were awarded.
PANACHE-Fashion Show – Young models set the ramp on fire with their looks and style during the fashion show. This event added glamour to BrandScan. It is a favorite event for the fashion lover youth. Teams from various institutes participate in this and it is another major crowd puller for BrandScan.
ZEST-Dance Competition – Tapping their feet to the tunes of latest songs, both students and household love this event. Be it the passion driven western dances or the miraculously beautiful Indian folks, BrandScan stage is one stop for best dancers in the region. This event witnessed few mesmerizing performances by both college students and professionals.
Kalakriti (Drawing Competition) – Another event which make BrandScan colourful is Kalakriti. Young kids from various schools of Manipal and Udupi accompanied by their parents flock together on Sunday morning and paint their canvas with vibrant colours of life. The total number of participants this year was 300. The kids were provided with all the painting and colouring material.
Kids Got Talent: BrandScan provided a platform to the kids to showcase their talents like Singing, Dancing, Role plays, Mime, Magic Tricks etc. The event saw a plethora of talent displays both in the individual and group categories.
MOSH- Rock Band Show – This year MOSH, BrandScan played host to 3 very popular rock bands, Inner Sanctum, Bangalore, Zygnema, Mumbai and Embers of a Perfect World (EPW), Goa. Rock enthusiasts from colleges in and around Manipal came in hordes to head bang and listen to their favourite band play live. This provided a perfect ending to BrandScan 2011.
